ShoQ®Journal is designed to help firearm instructors and students train more safely and effectively. This Privacy Policy explains how we protect your data and use it responsibly to enhance your experience.
By using our Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this Policy.
Account Registration:
Instructor & Professional Accounts: Certain information (e.g., tax forms or liability insurance) is requested only when you begin receiving payouts or offering paid training. These documents are not public and are stored securely for compliance only.
Usage Data: pages viewed, features used, device/browser, IP (city/region), referrals, and search/interactions.
Training Data: session stats, performance metrics, patterns over time, equipment used, and AI interaction logs.
Important: We use anonymized training statistics and AI interaction patterns to improve feedback and scoring. This process is internal only — data is not shared externally or used to train general-purpose AI models. AI interaction data is anonymized and never includes identifiable journal or student data.
We focus communications on training, equipment updates, and coach opportunities — not general product promotions. You can opt out anytime via settings or unsubscribe links. We do not use third-party ad networks or sell user data for ads.
We never sell user data. We may share aggregated, anonymous statistics to improve training safety and industry research. These insights are summarized and de-identified.
What We Do: combine usage statistics from large anonymous groups to produce industry-wide reports for safer training and better products.
What We Don't Do: disclose names/emails, share coach-specific business intelligence or student lists, or share identifiable training records.
Opt-Out: Instructors may email [email protected] with subject "Opt-Out of Data Insights." Functionality is unaffected.
No system is 100% secure. Use strong passwords and report suspicious activity immediately.
Update in settings or request corrections.
Request account/data deletion (subject to legal retention of certain records). Anonymized data may be retained and cannot be re-identified.
We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18. If discovered, we delete it and notify guardians where possible.

All data is securely hosted on U.S.-based servers. When data is accessed internationally, it is protected using appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where required. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer and protection framework.
We link to third-party vendors/services. Review their privacy policies before sharing information.
We may update this Policy for legal, feature, or practice changes. For material changes, we provide 30 days' notice via email, banner, and the "Last Updated" date.
