This Privacy Policy applies to both students and instructors/coaches.

CoachZR, ShoQ®ZR, and ShoQ® Journal are operated by Pulse Frontier, Inc. This Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect information across our websites, mobile applications, instructor tools, student tools, booking features, payment features, remote coaching services, merchandise features, AI tools, and training records.

1. Introduction

ShoQ®ZR, ShoQ® Journal, and CoachZR together form a training and coaching platform for firearm instructors, students, coaches, and related users. The Platform supports instructor profiles, student accounts, class or service enrollment, instructor-managed payment workflows, ShoQ®ZR online checkout, remote coaching, training logs, AI-assisted feedback, merchandise listings, communication tools, and related services.

By using the Platform, creating an account, enrolling in a class or service, listing a class or service, processing a payment, using remote coaching, uploading training information, or communicating through the Platform, you agree to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account and Identity Information

  • Name, email address, phone number, username, password credentials, and account preferences.
  • Age or date-of-birth information where needed to confirm 18+ eligibility.
  • Location information such as city, state, country, and general service area.
  • Profile photos, bios, specialties, credentials, instructor listings, student profile information, and optional public profile details.

2.2 Instructor and Professional Account Information

  • Instructor credentials, certification information, insurance information, background or qualification details, class/service descriptions, pricing, availability, and business contact information.
  • Tax, payout, and compliance information when an instructor receives payouts or uses ShoQ®ZR-managed checkout.
  • Instructor notes related to student enrollment, direct-payment confirmation, attendance, cancellations, no-shows, refunds, or service delivery.

2.3 Student Booking, Enrollment, and Training Information

  • Class, service, remote coaching, or merchandise enrollment details, including selected instructor, date, time, seat count, booking status, payment status, cancellation status, no-show status, refund status, and communication history.
  • Training logs, journal entries, uploaded targets, session results, score information, equipment information, comments, photos, videos, or other materials that students choose to upload or share.
  • Coach-student relationship data, including which instructor a student follows, books, subscribes to, communicates with, or shares training information with.

2.4 Payment, Checkout, Refund, and Dispute Information

  • For ShoQ®ZR online checkout, ShoQ®ZR remote coaching payments, subscriptions, service payments, and other platform-managed transactions, payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors such as Stripe or PayPal. We do not store full card numbers.
  • We may receive transaction status, amount, payout status, processing fee, refund status, chargeback status, dispute information, tax-related records, and fraud-prevention information from payment processors.
  • For instructor-managed direct payments, such as cash, Zelle, Venmo, check, range-front-desk payment, or other external payment methods, ShoQ®ZR may record reservation status, payment-confirmation status, instructor notes, amount due, amount marked paid, and attendance status, but does not process or store the student's external payment credentials or external transaction details.

2.5 Merchandise and Equipment Information

  • Merchandise listings, product interest, purchase status, order-related communication, commission attribution, and related instructor/student activity.
  • If merchandise is purchased through ShoQ®ZR checkout, payment and fulfillment status may be processed through the Platform or third-party processors. If payment is instructor-managed or seller-managed outside the Platform, ShoQ®ZR may only record listing, reservation, inquiry, or status information.

2.6 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device type, browser type, IP address, approximate location, operating system, pages viewed, features used, referral source, timestamps, app events, crash logs, and performance data.
  • Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies used for login, security, analytics, preferences, and platform functionality.

2.7 Information from Third Parties

  • Payment processors, fraud-prevention vendors, email or messaging providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, certification-verification sources, social sign-in providers, and other service providers used to operate the Platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 Platform Operations

  • Create and manage student and instructor accounts.
  • Display instructor listings, class listings, service offerings, merchandise listings, schedules, seat availability, and student booking records.
  • Operate enrollment, messaging, attendance, booking confirmation, direct-payment confirmation, ShoQ®ZR checkout, refund, dispute, and payout features.
  • Send transactional emails, receipts, reservation notices, reminder messages, cancellation notices, refund notices, dispute updates, and support responses.

3.2 Coach-Student Service Delivery

  • Allow students to share training logs, journal entries, session data, uploaded media, messages, questions, and performance information with selected instructors.
  • Allow instructors to review student information, provide feedback, confirm enrollment, mark payment status, manage attendance, and deliver coaching services.
  • Support remote coaching, recurring services, AI-assisted review, student progress history, and instructor dashboards.

3.3 Payments, Payouts, Refunds, and Disputes

  • Process ShoQ®ZR-managed payments, subscriptions, remote coaching payments, marketplace checkout, and related payouts through payment processors.
  • Record direct-payment status when instructors choose to manage payment outside the Platform.
  • Evaluate refund requests, chargebacks, fraud alerts, payout adjustments, payment failures, and transaction disputes.
  • Maintain transaction records required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

3.4 AI Tools and Training Improvement

AI tools support training and coaching but do not replace professional judgment. We may use anonymized or de-identified training statistics, session patterns, and AI interaction patterns to improve scoring, training feedback, safety recommendations, and platform functionality.

Identifiable journal entries, student names, private messages, and coach-specific student lists are not sold to third parties. When we use data to improve systems, we use reasonable steps to remove or reduce personal identifiers unless the feature requires the information to deliver the service requested by the user.

3.5 Communications

We may send account, booking, training, payment, safety, support, product, instructor opportunity, and platform update communications. Marketing communications may be controlled through account settings or unsubscribe links where applicable.

4. How Information Is Shared

4.1 Sharing Between Students and Instructors

When a student enrolls in a class, requests a service, purchases remote coaching, joins a coach relationship, contacts an instructor, or shares training data with an instructor, the selected instructor may receive relevant information needed to manage the relationship, including student name, contact information, booking details, payment status, attendance status, messages, shared training data, uploaded media, and service history.

4.2 Sharing With Students

Students may see instructor information relevant to enrollment or service delivery, such as instructor name, profile, business contact details, class/service information, location, schedule, pricing, cancellation/refund terms, merchandise information, and communication history.

4.3 Payment Processors and Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the Platform, including payment processors, hosting providers, analytics providers, email and messaging providers, fraud-prevention providers, customer support tools, and data-security vendors. These providers may use information only as needed to perform services for us, subject to their own legal and contractual obligations.

4.4 Aggregated Insights and Industry Research

We do not sell personal user data. We may create aggregated or de-identified insights from large groups of users to understand training patterns, platform usage, product needs, safety trends, and industry-level trends. These insights do not identify individual students, instructors, or coach-specific student lists.

4.5 Legal, Safety, and Business Transfers

We may disclose information when required to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights or safety of users or the Platform, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our Terms, or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

5. Direct Payment vs. ShoQ®ZR Checkout

Direct payment and ShoQ®ZR checkout are different privacy situations. For direct payments, the student pays the instructor outside the Platform, and ShoQ®ZR may only record enrollment and status information. For ShoQ®ZR checkout or ShoQ-native services, the Platform and its payment processors handle the payment workflow.

6. Training Data, Journals, Media, and AI Interaction Data

Students and instructors may upload, create, or share training logs, journal entries, targets, photos, videos, comments, messages, AI prompts, AI outputs, performance results, and related training information. This information may be private, shared with a selected instructor, shared within a coach-student relationship, or made public only if the user chooses to publish or share it through a Platform feature.

Users should not upload information they do not have permission to share. Instructors are responsible for using student training data professionally, confidentially, and in compliance with applicable law and their own obligations to students.

7. Data Security

  • We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information.
  • We use TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit where appropriate.
  • Sensitive payment processing is handled through PCI-compliant third-party payment processors.
  • Access to internal systems is limited based on role and business need.
  • No system is 100% secure. Users should use strong passwords, protect their devices, and report suspicious activity promptly.

8. Data Retention

We retain information as long as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain business records, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and support user-requested services.

  • You may request a copy or export of certain account or training data where technically available.
  • You may opt out of marketing communications.
  • You may close your account, subject to continued retention of certain records where legally or operationally necessary.

10. Instructor Responsibilities for Student Data

Instructors who use CoachZR or ShoQ®ZR may receive student contact information, booking records, training logs, shared media, payment status, attendance records, and communications. Instructors agree to use this information only for legitimate training, coaching, enrollment, safety, administrative, or service-delivery purposes.

  • Instructors should not sell student data or misuse student contact information.
  • Instructors should protect exported student data and avoid unnecessary sharing.
  • Instructors are responsible for complying with applicable laws, range policies, professional duties, and any promises they make to students.

11. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 18. If we learn that we collected information from a person under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it, subject to legal or safety obligations.

12. International Users

The Platform is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. By using the Platform, you consent to such processing and transfer where permitted by law.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may link to third-party websites, ranges, instructors, payment processors, merchandise providers, social platforms, or other services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Users should review the privacy policies and terms of those third parties before providing information to them.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, product features, payment workflows, remote coaching services, AI tools, business practices, or security practices. For material changes, we may provide notice through email, account notification, website notice, or an updated "Last Updated" date.
