The Defender Concept
From Permit to Purpose
Getting a CCW permit is a legal step. It is not a training outcome. The permit says someone is allowed to carry. It does not say they are ready.
The ones who log sessions, connect with a coach, and commit to a training routine become something different. We call them Defenders: not a certification, but the result of taking ownership of skill.
In active development - QX Qualification Platform
The standard already exists. We built the infrastructure to document it.
B8, B27, QIT-99, USPSA cardboard, and IDPA silhouettes are not proprietary standards invented by CoachZR. They are the universal language of marksmanship qualification.
QX is a documentation and evidence layer built on top of those standards. A coach can attest that a student completed a recorded drill session. QX timestamps and records that performance; it does not certify competence, judgment, or legal qualification.

QIT-99 Target
Trains against the same QIT-99 target standard federal agencies use for their own qualification. This is a civilian course only, it does not constitute law enforcement qualification, certification, or any official agency credential.
No organizational affiliation required. QX runs alongside NRA, USCCA, state qualification programs, and competition organizations. It documents performance on targets instructors already use.
The coach's business case. A student working toward a documented QX Defender record is a recurring client with a qualification goal that takes real training to reach.
The app also includes modules for USPSA, IDPA, and other competition disciplines. QX is not a single track. It is a platform for any structured standard a coach wants to run. Both QX Defense and QX Federal are in active development and will be available through the ShoQ® ZR app. Founding coaches who join CoachZR now will be first in line when the modules go live.
